There is an unsafe condition at the railroad crossing listed below.

The wide longitudinal gaps in the concrete crossing panels are a danger to bicyclists crossing these railroad tracks.

Photo of the crossing, taken on 12/15/2023, showing the “corrective measures” that the railroad recently took at Crossing Identification Number 855-442S Street Road. Unfortunately, those repairs are not satisfactory and still leave a dangerous gap that can trap a bicyclist’s wheel. That deep recess is not only between the concrete crossing panels but also between the rubber stripping along the flangeway.
